That’s how every single client I’ve worked with has come to me — not through ads or big campaigns, but through good, old-fashioned recommendations. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Why word-of-mouth matters

Word-of-mouth is powerful. It’s built on trust, real experiences, and results that speak for themselves. When someone recommends a service, they’re putting their own reputation on the line. That means more to me than any click or conversion ever could.

And when a client recommends me, I see that as the highest compliment.

It starts with doing the right thing

I’m not interested in overcharging or upselling things that aren’t needed. What I am interested in is doing the work well — exactly as agreed in the proposal — and delivering it with care and clarity.

And quite often, I’ll go that little bit further. If something comes up that wasn’t in the plan but will make a difference, I’ll sort it. I don’t bill for every tweak or call. I focus on building relationships, not racking up the invoice.

People remember how you made them feel

I’ve always believed that people remember more than just what you did — they remember how you made them feel. So if I can make the process smoother, clearer, and even enjoyable (yes, marketing can be enjoyable!), then I’ve done my job properly.

When a client feels looked after, understood, and not pressured by costs or jargon, they’ll happily recommend you. Not because they were asked to — but because they want to.

Growing naturally — and sustainably

I’m proud that Social Beans has grown through recommendation. It means the relationships I’ve built are real, and the work I’ve done has had an impact. That kind of growth might be slower than aggressive sales strategies — but it’s genuine. And it lasts.
